Question for Hunters: Do any of you process the meat and tan your hides?

I do process my own, but have never tanned a hide.

I have never paid a butcher to process any deer anytime (same with Elk). I used to do a dang good job of cutting and wrapping each steak, roast, etc. but now that I ain't broke it all goes in a chest as grinder (if I don't donate to charity or a tribesman). Cannot even imagine someone forking out $$$ for this. Hides aren't worth the hassle imnho.
