they did...and also now offer the 'Pro plan' or whatever the phuck they call it...a paid plan with no ads

Apparently I'm on the Pro plan for free. I have some VIP icon, but I've never paid for anything from them, and I never see ads. One day I'll dog through my emails to see if they told me why.
