They are there, they just go straight back. They are only about 4" long as they are.

Beauty Fishfurlife! Great public land buck. How far was the shot? How far did he go?
I shot him from the ground (in the ground really, I dug a hole to make my blind) at 30 yards. He folded up in sight after going about 120 yards.
Finally got my first archery deer! Nice doe taken at 15 yards.

Thanks guys! Took 3 seasons but I finally got er done. I've shot deer with a rifle all my life....theirs just something about archery that's a whole different rush. Unfortunately I only got a crappy cell phone pic. Just left my processor.....should be eating good in a few days!
