This year I have seemed to find several out of the ordinary things while hunting public land. Walking out one morning, I found a range finder laying in the grass about 1/2 mile from the parking area. Then I also came across a knives of Alaska field dressing knife kit laying next to a gut pile that I came across while walking in one evening during rifle season. Pretty tough to find owners for them, but would give them back if I could find the owners.

Knives, fishing poles, boxes of shotshells, a really nice set of binox that eventually got back to its rightful home, deer antlers connected by a cord, one really fat wallet (guy was happy to see that), and a few other odds and ends over the years. I have a hunting buddy who is, apparently, psychic when it comes to finding lost stuff if it's not his own. If he loses it, his dad goes and finds it. Odd, but for real. CB

Oh man...I forgot. Tell me your address again Dennis and I'll be over.

Good try:D:D

Its an interesting tackle box. Has an automatic mitchel fly reel, a box of flies, some bass lures, and some catfish tackle.

The flies in their little box are rusted, etc. Not worth much except for the aluminum tackle box. Pretty retro.

I can't even remember all the stuff I've found.

Binoculars, knives, camera, woman's underwear, boxes of ammo, an airplane, a covered wagon, wagon wheels, a stolen Dodge Mega Cab, lunch box full of food, unopened beer cans and bottles, flashlights. Basically I've found every piece of hunting gear that someone would carry.

The pride of my collection, an uber-rare '73 Winchester .22 rimfire round barrel was found by my great uncle in Minnesota. For 50 years it sat untouched in his barn until I ended up with it. When my dad and I were restoring it, we found a note in the buttstock that said "Here lies Matt, 1903". I've always wondered who Matt is.

I have a hunting buddy who is, apparently, psychic when it comes to finding lost stuff if it's not his own.

A running gag was that the landowner where we hunt would find one of my buddy's gloves every year. It happened several years in a row, to the point it was almost bizarre. He'd find them in late winter, and when we'd meet up with him the next summer and he'd go into the barn and come out holding a glove. "Is this yours?"

That guy has a knack for spotting anything that is out of place in the woods. I guess spending daylight to dark outside seven days a week for 30 years will do that. There is not a tree stand or blind he won't spot, no matter how well hidden. He used to have a pile of trespassers stands and homemade PVC feeders he had yanked.

I have haven't found much I that I can remember (as far as stuff left behind, I've "found" a bunch of stuff other people have found before me.). A slip bobber far from any fishable water, with all kind of hilly woods in between. I guess a bird or something carried it. Also a blaze orange sock hat. Don't know if a trespasser dropped it on our place or an animal dragged it in. It looked new.

Someone cut the lock on the gate once, and we found a single, wadded up tube sock and some napkins in camp. Luckily tents were not set up yet, or I probably would have burned mine. Ew.

Hiding from all you crazy people!!!
Found a high school kids wallet this spring while out shed hunting... looked through it, had some cash and DL and his progress report from school. The report had a phone number so i called it. It was his moms, so i left a message and he called me back and i dropped it off the next day money and all.
I have found some decent stuff hunting but nothing like SCUBA diving, u would be supprised what people lose in the water.

I have found nothing of value hunting. Pullled a rod and reel out of a lake once. My talent is for finding hammers. I'll bet I have found 50 hammers in my lifetime, most on oil locations, but a lot of them in the road.
