Crack 3 or 4 eggs
Beat the eggs
Put em in a ziplock bag
Add your favorite omelette dressings (cheese, olives, cream cheese, etc.)
Shake the bag
Throw the bag in boiling water for 18-20 minutes
Enjoy.

It beats making a huge mess in the kitchen.

:thumb:Many, many times. Also baked muffins, did biscuits and gravy on the trail over a campstove. If you do it right, we baked pizza crusts and made pizzas too.

Easiest way to do it, is with a Bakepacker. It is a heat diffuser that fits inside one of your cookpots. Works great, Google it. :thumb:

Done it many times. About two years ago it was the buzz in the cooking arena, until sombody said that the plastic would be bad for you.
I'm not sure, but I think they finally found out it was ok.
We would set up a buffet type of line, and each person could put their favorite ingredients in the bag. Really tasty.

This is the first I've heard of it. I'm going to YouTube it and give it a go. Thanks for the tip Hoorayebay! At my age I could eat plastic and it probably wouldn't make a difference.

I don't understand. How is this any faster/better/less messy than a regular omelette? In the time it takes you to boil the water and cook the omelette, I am done eating mine that I made in a skillet that dirtied one pan and one paper plate.

What was the plate for?
