You must be high. It's all about money. OU/TX is a HUGE Rivalry worth big money in visitors to the TX state fair, TV money Dallas vendors Norman and Austin Vendors. A aTm fan saying they are more important to TX is like an OSU fan saying that game is more important to OU than the TX game.

aTm is to TX what OSU is to OU. A little sister. That's it. They revolve their season around "if we could win just this one" regardless of what happens the rest of the season. Freud called this "penis envy" It's where little sister always envy's the brother for who he is and what she will never be. aTm will never be a TX and OSU will never be an OU.

You are so wrong its not even funny.

You know squat about what Texas A&M and Texas mean to each other. OU has always been a big and important game for Texas but ask a Longhorn which is their biggest rival and they will tell you the Aggies. OU fans have such inflated sense of worth, at least the Walmart OU fans do. Most OU alumni are ok but most of the Walmart OU fans are turds. Which kind are you?

I don't follow this as closely as you guys do.

Is A&M leaving the conference because texas is starting up the longhorn network?
Does the new longhorn network have anything to do with any of this?

Not that I agree with him but I've heard many Texas fans say OU is a bigger rivalry more than once. Don't care either way, but which one gets more national coverage and recruits? Just sayin.

Dunno that A&M fans can say anything about inflated worth. A&M hasn't done anything since they fired Solich, several bad decisions later, they want to head to the SEC where they will have a hard time being a top half contender year in and out. More power to them.

I agree with this. Since the beginning of the B12 aTm is barely over 500 in conference. While I have no issue with aTm or their fans and root for them over UT in every possible athletic event, they are not on the same level nationally as either OU or UT. For aTm fans and alumni, the UT/aTm rivalry may be the most important. This is not how UT or the rest of the country views it. Sure, aTm is a huge school with a ton of money. The problem is, they are only relevant because of their large alumni base and huge TV market. I do agree with their decision to bolt for the SEC, but their fans/alumni tend to have an inflated view of their place in college football history and presence. They are a school that has had a few successful years, but has never been able to sustain it.

Wrong and you are very misinformed. The meeting was to vote on EXPANSION, not to invite A&M. A&M has to formally request an invitation, THE SEC CAN NOT invite A&M publicly. TAMU will vote to apply to the SEC on Monday. Obviously, there is no "invitation" prior to something like that from the SEC because that could be considered tampering, or whatever other legal terms could be used to describe it and it subsequently becomes a court mess. There are specific steps that have to be followed anytime something like this goes down.

ESPN is trying to protect their investment (tu) by releasing these article that the average person that is not knowledgeable on the subject will simply believe.
