Man this sucks, I thought they were doing pretty good! These races brought alot of money to Tulsa and got alot of guys off the street, but now I can see a lot more dangerous street racing going on next year. My dad brought me here for the first time years back and it was the most fun we ever had together. I'm gonna miss this place. Wish I could have went to more races this year knowing now that its the last year ever. I'll have to go to another race before its over. :nolike:

throwdown in T-town is oct 14th and 15th. then OKDHM is doing mods vs rods and the diesel drags the 22nd then thats it. I started drag racing there i raced my 86 supra,86 mustang and 84 mustang out there. Yes I too fear street racing will go on the rise since there wont be a track anywhere close to race at. :(
Apparently APAC made the owner an offer he couldnt refuse

It is a shame that Tulsa will no longer have a race track. I remember going there as a kid, and then taking my kids there....

At Pep Boys they're giving away tickets to one of the upcoming events..... but parking is still $10.

what a shame... a long time institution gone the way of Bells, Metro Diner, Nelson's Buffeteria and a slough of others.

Someone would be wise to build one in the middle of no where, where land is cheap, half way btw Tulsa and OKC just off the pike.

Stroud/Chandler area.

Apparently from that thread and link they are building what looks like a really nice facility in Siloam Springs, AR. But it looks so nice it would probably be expensive to run there.

it may seem like a track is doing good, but in reality they are probably not doing well at all, making money etc.

People aren't spending money anymore, cutting out hobbies, building cars etc. I see this on the import side with big name companies going under.
