Probably get to write the IRS a $4000 check this year... promotions for my wife and I slapped us in a whole nother tax bracket :-(

We were really happy when we only had to write a $1000 check last year.

BTDT... We had one year where the $200 we got for teacher certification test monitoring put us $50 into the next bracket after finding every nickel and dime deduction that we could.

If we do get a refund, I'll probably be restructuring my business so that I can get some more lucrative contracts, and perhaps adding to the new house downpayment fund, in that order.

I don't care about an "interest free loan" - my witholdings is set to a family larger than I have. I still get a refund - and the little bit more on each check I would see I wouldn't notice. But I notice the tax refund. Yes I could put so much into savings automatically I choose not to. I can't touch the money all year and I am guaranteed to not have to write them a check in addition to what I paid in. Works for me.

+1 that. CAN'T WAIT!! to cash a check instead of write a check.

Makes me want to puke when I think about how much I'll owe for this year. Hell, I haven't even paid all of last years, yet. F$&@ing leeches! For those who get a return, thank a business owner... They are financing it...

eh not sure what we'll get back but it'll just go into the bank...wife and I are both tired of renting and moving every couple years...hopefully this is the year we get it together and go buy a house.

ETA anyone need obnoxious gun toting, conservative neighbors? ;)
