last year I only used the 4wd on my 4runner limited if I was pulling someone out. Driving in it I was always in AWD. Stability control, traction control, all working with the AWD system made fir the safest travel. Stability and traction turn off when you lock it in 4wd.

Good thing everyone has those 4x4s that get 12mpg all year long for Oklahoma's crazy snow storms that happen once in a lifetime. :D

4wd, of course 2wd will get you there, I made it around last years big snow with a 2wd truck but I also had 1200lbs of sand bags in the bed and knew my limits on what an dwhere I could go and do.

I have to get out, my work only closes 2 days a year, thanksgiving day and christmas day, no matter what the weather, I need to be there.

I went ahead and bought a duce and a half for this one. Figured I could get enough milk and bread in the back of it to keep the family sustained for the 36 hour period before the next delivery trucks could make it to the loading dock at Homeland.

That and what is better than 6x6 when there is 2" of snow on the ground. Also if ice does come I won't really care what I slide into.

how much are we supposed to get?

You could stop examining your toes long enough to check www.weather.com :wink2: They're calling for a wintry mix of sleet and ice, turning into rain. Some of the more NE areas may see 1-3 inches of snow. Once we get past the freezing periods in the next 24-48 hours, it should be fine.
