I know they took it off for a few years then put it back 2 or 3 years ago, my granddaughter is convinced if she messes the parking up she fails the whole test.
When I took mine I used my grandpa's mules, they were well trained and backed the wagon up perfectly. :)

I don't even remember parallel parking being on the test when I took mine. It was pretty much "Hey kid, drive me around the block. You hit a pedestrian or drive through the building and you fail."

One bummer about living here is I don't get to show off my madd parallel parking skillz. I took a private driver's ed course for the insurance discount when I was 15. The dude made me parallel park repeatedly until I could do it flawlessly (and quickly) because I guess in his mind sending perfect parkers out into the world was the lord's work. Can't really argue with his logic.

Feel free to borrow my F250 crew cab longbed, they won't make you parallel park in it. I told my drivers ed students years ago that I would rent it out to them.:) JK It can be parallel parked though.
