Pete's Place/Krebs

My wife amd I are heading toward Beavers Bend to stay at a friends place. She always wanted to eat at Krebs and a few of the locals have placed Pete's Place at the top of the Krebs Italian restaurants.

So, what should we order while eating there? What should we avoid earing there?
I was told Roseann's is the next best restaurant there.

Don't know what day we'll eat there,but I'll call ahead to see if they're open.

they do open at some weird hours so definitely call ahead. Its pretty good, isle of capri is good as well..

I like giacomo's or isle of capri better,petes is not bad though. Choc beer

Doesn't matter, it's family style so you'll get the salad, bread, meatballs ravioli and spaghetti. Your entree would come out just the entree, ie if you order chick Parmesan, just the chicken comes out, everything else is already on the table.

My favorites. 1. Roseannas, get Franks combo platter. The 1/2 order is huge and the full order is too much for me to eat. The combo has a little bit of everything. 2. Giacomos for the steak. 3. Pete's Place. Nicest decor but the food is just good not great. 4. Isle of Capri, have had very mixed experiences there. Try to go by Lovera's store, they have italian sausage and home made cheese. Take a cooler and bring home some of their smoked sausage. They close at 6pm and on Sunday.

We used to eat at Giacomo's. That was 20-30 years ago, but I had friends from Mccalester and that is where they always took us.
PS. had lunch at Rock Cafe yesterday per your suggestion. Had a darn good mushroom swiss burger. It was pretty good. Also had wonderful homemade peach cobbler. The onion rings were not the best, but overall, pretty good. Thanks for that recomendation.

It's been many years since I ate at Pete's place, and I was so disappointed.

The CHOC beer was the best part of the meal.

I was told later the locals prefer The Isle of Capri.

I don't know, I never went back. I can get Chef Boyardee anywhere.
