His wife is a Oklahoma girl. And they were married in OKC. Or so I read. I heard Gov. Romney speak on the radio this day. He seems more energized than I have heard before. Might
be a good fit.

People here probably won't agree with this, but I would argue that the decline of the Republican party and if we lose will have more to do with the fact that most young conservatives feel alienated with the GOP. I know a lot of people who have classically voted GOP who have stated that they will either not vote or will actually vote Democrat. They have already vowed to do this in local elections. Most of this has to do with a few things. Younger conservatives typically find civil issues and education to be top priorities. Most lean more towards a libertarian mindset and although most I know are religious and regularly attend church, are absolutely disgusted by the actions and stances made by religious organizations and absolutely horrified by the Bachmanns, Palins, and Sally Kerns of the world. The more conservative leaders push for replacing science with ideas like creationism in schools and the closer the GOP leans towards a theocracy, the more they alienate these people. The attempts by some GOP officials to inject morality into law due to the failures of the church to effectively act as societies' moral compass is not an idea that's being received well. Like it or not, these people will eventually make up a large portion of the "new conservatives."

No, these aren't just the downtown "hipster" conservatives. I'm talking a wide range of people who are business owners, Sheriff's deputies, police officers, and even ministers. Personally, I think it's lose/lose either way. A part of me wants Romney to lose because maybe finally will it finally wake the GOP up and they can start rebuilding into a party that I and most of my peers can actually believe in.

Rep Ryan is an excellent choice - he is the only leader in Washington, of either party, who actually had the guts to propose and stand up for a clear budget proposal. He represents clear and principled, not just coldly economic, fiscal sanity for Washington.

The election is still Obama-Romney but this can't hurt. I cannot wait to see the Biden-Ryan debate!

BTW - I also liked his acceptance speech reference to natural law and rights recognized not granted by the Constitution.

This, I would also love to see Ryan debate Obama. And for those wanting a pitbull, I agree Ryan is not one to rip the heads off and crap down their necks. He will calmly slice it off and politely hand it to them.

I'll bet so. Ain't he the same guy who , pushed the eldery lady over the cliff, on national t.v.?

That is what the political ads claimed. "he wants to throw grandma off a cliff". They did not mention his plan did not affect anyone 555 or over.

But guys, I mean, here on earth 555 is a pretty advanced age isn't it? I mean, if that's the cut-off, shuckins. Wouldn't that exclude most people? I mean, what am I missing here?
