Do not, I repeat DO NOT ever order anything from Smith Enterprise Inc. They specialize in M14/M1A parts. I needed the adapter for my M1A so that I could attach my suppressor to it. I used them on the recommendation of one of my fellow officers that had purchased the same part from them for $75. The other ones I had found were almost double that, so I looked on the website and found what I needed. Sure enough it was $75. You cant order from their website, so I called and ordered the part over the phone. I was expecting to pay actual shipping since nothing was said to me when I ordered. Well many months later, they called and asked if I still wanted since they were gonna make some the next week. I said yes, send it on. Well a week later I received my USPS box with my part and my credit card receipt for $90. Well 90 is a far cry from 75. I looked on the box and it showed it cost $5.35 to ship. I emailed them and asked why I was charged 90 bucks when it cost 5.35 to ship. I told them I felt they owed me $9 and some change and I wanted it put back on my card asap. My return email informed me that it was standard $15 shipping no matter what. THey had to pay someone to pack it, pay someone to drive to the post office, pay someone to stand in line to mail it, and pay for the gas to get there. Well hell, no wonder it cost so much. They sure never bothered to tell me that on the phone when I ordered. I responded and told them that was BS and they should have informed me of the shipping cost when I ordered and this all could have been avoided. I told them I would dispute the charges if they didnt refund my money. Then the owner and another employee start emailing me and cussing me up one side and down the other. I wont put the language they used on here for obvious reasons. I got 3 emails from them , each one cussing me out. I told them they were dishonest and were trying to rip people off and that I would be calling the BBB on them. They told me I could tell them to F off also. So I made a rpt with BBB in Arizona. I cant believe this company is in business with them talking to customers like this. What ever happened to The Customer Is Always Right? You have all seen my signature on posts, Msgt. Well apparently the owner is also a Grammar school teacher, because he rambled on and on about how its MSgt. not Msgt. Then he started saying how I was impersonating a member of our Armed Forces and he was gonna call the Stolen Valor boys and have them pay me a visit. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE. Really? I told him to go ahead, that maybe I could sell them something and I wouldnt treat them like dirt, like he had done me. Anyways dont ever order anything from this company. They dont deserve any of our hard earned dollars. Feel free to copy and post this on any other gun or hunting site you go to so the word gets around.

so everyone else wanted double what they charge (2x75=150) and your complaining about $15 dollar shipping charge?? you didn't ask what shipping charges were??
(150-90=60) sounds like a deal to me...
as for the emails, you should copy paste them for all to see

You say they should have told you what the shipping charges were. Maybe since you were spending the money you should have asked what your shipping charge was and your overall total. This company does alot with donations for our combat soldiers. Very uncalled for post IMO.

No, the customer is always right... but he may not always be correct. IOW, Don't tell the customer he's wrong, find a way to make him see for himself he is wrong.

Smokewagon....dude.....i didn't really read your whole post as it was lengthy with little in the way of paragraphs. That said, you got your part. It was at best a misunderstanding. It's not a ton of money. Honestly, I understand your irritation, but i would prob just let this one go. Enjoy your M1A. It's all good.....
