I hate to see more victim of crime but we need more stories like this to paint a direct opposite picture than the Liberal agenda is trying to do. There is enough crime they have constant flow of instances with guns involved with crime, we need more stories of how armed citizens protected themselves and others without hurting any innocent bystanders. Without these stories all we have is our words against their crime stats.

Problem is you can't hand a Liberal a link to a NRA site & expect them to believe it. We need the MSM to pick up these stories & make them headlines. Get the word out in mass fashion just like they do all the rest of the junk we consider a waste of time on the news. they start running these stories with interviews from the victims & police commending the armed citizen & it could start to change the opinions of those who just blindly believe Washington about gun safety.

Well done by that gent for sure, but the only thing that bothered me about the report? The comment of the reporter at the end stating that the police said that a gun owner needs to be ready to accept responsibility for the outcome should the issue escalate.
To me, that reads as "you got lucky, but if you had to shoot the guy, you'd be liable for manslaughter, since you injected yourself into the situation." i.e. you put yourself in harms way, thus it isn't self defense.
Perhaps that's the cornerstone of our social issues: "No good deed goes unpunished."

Problem is liberals don't see self defense as a good thing. I actually saw a sentence in a story (I think it was about stand your ground laws) that went something like, 'murders have gone down, BUT defensive shootings have gone up,' as if shooting a bad guy in self defense is a bad thing. And you can also see it when they talk about gun deaths or gun crimes and not just deaths and crime in general, or how they lump justifiable homicides, suicides, and murder all together if they are gun related.
