We went to Dick's one time. My wife wanted to check out Dick's. Neither one of us were impressed.
It was right before Christmas and I was getting desperate to find some bulk pack .22 ammo. since my sons were first started on shooting I have got them each a bulk box for christmas. They are both grown and I am still doing it. It is my tradition for them. When I was young, (still young) ammo would have been a great gift for me too. I did find some mini mags. they had three and I wish I had got that last one too.
That was the only time.
If .22 shot shell are all we can get we should learn some trick shooting. When I was young there was an OHP that would come and do fast draw demos at the Geary fair. I heard he used shot shells. That would be a fun use for the .22 shotshells.
He would throw out a styrofoam cup and shoot it. It may have been blanks but shot shells would bust a foam cup too.
A red solo cup might work too.

I think that's worse than anything I have said about been's avatar. Wish I'd said it. I've seen it so many times it no longer spoils the flavor of my coffee, but it's gotta be rough on new folks.
In the 1980's, I went to one of their stores in New York City. It was downtown in a high rise office building. The store was about 40 X 40 ft. on the first floor but went 4 or 5 floors up with just about the same space. They had to use a vertical sign. Wonder which came first, the building or the name and sign.
