As I see it, this allows Hornady to be able to provide more of the calibers that are used for defence and shooting sports, and arming more law abiding citizens.

Manufacturers did the same thing in WW2 to aid the war effort.

LOL, yeah. Who exactly are they streamlining for?

Looked at the list, they are cutting back on TONS of popular stuff. Guys who shoot Varmint with .223 and load Hornady bullets are SOL it looks like.

Hornady is simply prioritizing what sells the best and/or allows them to maximize profitable production - why is this controversial? I understand that some who like to shoot the less commonly used rounds will be inconvenienced but this is simply an understandable reaction to economic conditions.
