The same happened to me years ago, made a stupid (non violent) mistake and lost my rights. got them all restored but every time I go to purchase a gun it gets delayed for the 5 day period then I go pick it up. Got my CCL in January so now I show that and they just do the paper work and dont need to call.
It's a ***** but carry on, get your CCL, an the problem should go away.
On a side note, I bet the the disposition supervisor was named Cali or Kali. Really sweet woman and very helpful. A credit to the OSBI.
