True....always amazing how 3 men with the law on their side, numerous non-lethal tools at there disposal, go home to their families with pay and the only evidence that could truly justify their actions (cell phone) went home with them. Smelled kosher to me. Wasn't much of a leap from those known facts.

However, I feel that 95% of the LEOs out there are doing right by we the people. I am not afraid of them at all. Most are here to protect and serve.

How do we know that the cell phone has evidence against the officers? What if it has evidence that will clear the officers and they were afraid the exonerating evidence would disappear?

And, somebody needs to Google "excited delirium"

My only question on this is, if he didn't do anything wrong, and was just going to talk to his wife, did he HAVE to show id? I'm not sure of the laws regarding to that here in Oklahoma.

That's actually an interesting question and one that I would sincerely like to know the answer to.

My guess is a layman is 'no, you don't... unless they ask'. Regardless of whether you're actually required to do so or not if you refuse to do something a lawman tells you then you get to play the whole 'contempt of cop' thing. They're gonna win that one; as we see here it's definitely a team sport and your ass is probably going to be outnumbered.

You are correct sir. We don't know. What I do know, for an absolute fact, is that my wife isn't going to record something that is going to get me in more trouble than I'm already in and I doubt his did either.

Did you watch the news conference?

Negative. Did they cover Oklahoma law(s) on that during it?

Only reason I ask is it doesn't seem like a LEO could just walk up and ask for ID if you aren't doing anything wrong, but nothing about the situation the whole family was in was very right.

No, but they did explain why the officer asked for his ID.

Connecting dots is not fact. It's supposition...

I'm not opposed to supposition for discussions sake, but painting supposition as fact reveals an agenda.

Connecting the dots will lead you to the facts. If you refuse to see the facts I can't help you.

There is no law stating you must have ID on your body at all times so I would assume there is no law requiring you to present said ID whenever a LEO asks.
