Best layers I had were white leghorns n red sex links. Them bantam cochins were the sittinest birds ive ever seen, unwavering moms too. Hawks got her.

Red sex link and barred rocks have been good layers for me.

My red sex links laid all winter when i had them.. someone's Cat got one ,I got the cat
Black Austrolorpes i have now are terrible layers..They are getting better now that i do not let them out as much to graze.
Just giving them crumbles now..they are laying better.
Sex links would eat anything and lay almost every day of the year.

Not yet. Im going for the ones you dont have to have water for. I do have some yummy ducks boobs in the freezer, mostly mallard and teal.
