These douche bags wouldn't enter a gun store like that without asking permission, why would they think that it's acceptable to enter a restaurant that way.
Oh, I'd guess that it wasn't all that uncouth on the frontier, but even then there was a difference between carrying a rifle in a ready position and carrying it in a scabbard, slung across your back, or by the fore-end. And that was a very different time and place.
