I could probably pass the field test.... Breathalyzer or blood test is another story

I blew 2.5x the legal limit and passed the field test, but the arresting officer decided to err on the side of caution and take me in for a breathalyzer.

I don't drink like that anymore.

Exactly, weighing 125lbs and drinking a pint in 3hrs would put me at about the same place.

From the News9 article:

Not trying to be snarky, but is this SOP for a civilian who's been busted for DUI and resultant property damage? Leaving aside the issue of being put on admin leave - which I assume means being paid to sit around - is the person usually released from jail with such charges pending? A friend of mine recently was arrested for an unpaid "loose dog" fine from a number of years past, and he had to sit in jail for two days before his bond was posted. So this DUI, which I think is much more serious than an unpaid fine, and release from jail within 24 hours made me wonder if that's normal.

Most companies will fire you just for being arrested, regardless of you being found guilty or not. Getting paid while awaiting your court date is not a bad gig.

I am in awe, sir ...

Although I don't know if you could really pass the nystigmus thingee though. IIRC it's an involuntary movement. That's how GC "busted" me ... :nolike:

Is that the pen thingee? Been there done that, passed it lol.... Probably couldn't guarantee always passing it though

I worked in several places that had programs in place to help employees with substance abuse or personal problems. The State of Oklahoma is one of those places.
