Perhaps not, but in the case of the gays wanting a chapel wedding, is it about religious beliefs or just wanting to stir up a political pot? And, perhaps a judgement worth some money?

Whoa, are you saying the couple that got the bakery shut down, could have gotten a wedding cake somewhere else? That they took that particular bakery to court to make either a political statement or force someone to abandon their religious convictions? That their goal was to smear their relationship in the face of someone who disagrees with them (using the power of the government)?

I think it's the idea that a chapel is a holy place. I seriously doubt God gives 2 shites about this place called a chapel that makes money by pretending to be ordained ministers of Christ.

It kinda begs the question can gays be Christians or can God's worshipers be married?

Nobody is forcing anyone into a gay marriage.....those businesses that want to discriminate can discriminate. They'll just have to pay a fine for ignorance. We can call it taxing the stupid.

Should business have quotas for the numbers of minorities they do business with? You know, to make sure they are doing business with people the correct proportions.

What if someone doesn't want to be friends with the gays? Do they get fined too?

That's on Hillary's plate for her second term.

No to the quotas. Big difference between individual rights and business rights.

Because I knew this was going to happen. I do not care if you get married but no one has the right to force others to go against their religious beliefs.

Up to 180 days in jail and $1000 a day in fines.

I don't give a crap about people's choices of partners. I do want the folks that play with people that have the same genetailia to stop getting in everyone's face about their personal lives. I'm still confused if all of them are trying to convince me that they are gay or if they're trying to convince themselves that they are gay??? Oh, and the pastors, I'd refuse to marry the folks if I felt strongly about it. There would be no fine or penalty cause I would close the business. I'd open the "really obnoxious gay saying greeting card company."

It could be both. Gays want money or could be the Chapel wants the free publicity.

Let me guess, you are against interracial marriage too? Can a business refuse service based upon the races of the couple? If it goes against their belief system? Same song, different verse.

FWIW, I don't think you should be able to force anyone to do **** against their will. It's frankly stupid from a business perspective to deny service to gays (homosexuals are usually pretty wealthy and loose with their cash). But how would we have gotten past the separate bathrooms and water fountains of the 50s and prior without some degree of intervention?
