Here is what most people think of forfeiture and the people do it .

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsIGtSRDy54

Oklahoma has terrible civil forfeiture laws, and its statutes give law enforcement significant financial incentives to seize property. To forfeit property in civil proceedings, the government typically must show that property is related to a crime and subject to forfeiture by a preponderance of the evidence. In all civil forfeitures in Oklahoma, owners are presumed guilty and must contest forfeiture by proving they did not know property was being used illegally. Worse, law enforcement receives 100 percent of the proceeds from civil forfeiture.

When assets are seized by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control, the Bureau can agree to share the proceeds with other law enforcement agencies. There are some limits on the amount of forfeited funds the Bureau can spend, but the cap was raised substantially in 2007. Previously, the Bureau needed to seek permission of the legislature to spend more than $900,000 of forfeited funds. Since 2007, that cap is $2,000,000.[1] Oklahoma law enforcement officials have used civil forfeiture laws aggressively, averaging more than $5.5 million per year in forfeiture proceeds between 2000 and 2007.

By the way Tennessee got a D where Oklahoma received a D-.

It boils down to this guys....... We have way too many laws restricting freedoms...... We have way too many law enforcement officers and agencies in this state.......
Not a bash to cops at all, they are just doing their job. The problem is with the laws and the politicians who disguise restricticting freedoms with "safety!" Talking heads and lobbyists can make make helping an old lady across the street a bad thing and create a need to restrict the act these days......
If you guys are still under the illusion that we do not live in a police state, please have an educated argument to explain how we are not!!!!

With virtually every gvmt agency having their own "Law Enforcement" branch, I wonder just how many different agencies are out in our midst that can stop us if they desire to do so, wheather we are doing something flagrently illegal or not?

I would Guess that the forfeited property is less than 10% (anyone got a link) of what is actually used.
And thats only because most of them are unable/cant afford to obtain their property back.

So goes the war on drugs (any links on this), that means 90% are getting through.

And at what cost to the taxpayers?....even minus the forfeitures ( cant resell the drugs they confiscate, or..can they? )

Unmarked cars are for one reason:

Revenue.

I've never been pulled over by one, but if I am I will ask if I was committing road rage...... That's how the OCPD sold the idea to the public 10 or 15 years ago. They were called RAID cars. The .gov needed them to curb road rage...... Stupid f'n sheeple bought it!

All of the misinformation is quite disturbing. The unmarked ford raptor is Cleveland County Sherriffs office. OBN's interdiction units are full marked silver tahoes with lightbars. I think that marked and unmarked units both serve a purpose. Even if a unmarked car is not directed at traffic enforcement it is still required to act if there is a gross violation I.E. a drunk. I was a police officer years ago and drove a marked unit. I about got ran into multiple times by drunks with my lights on. Just saying.
