Good luck out there this morning. Just let the lab out to take a leak and there was a small buck and a doe standing by the mail box in the road. They gave us a quick look and the proceeded to chase through the yard between the shop and house and down into the draw lol.

We are having as slow a year as we have ever had. Two of us hunted yesterday evening and only saw two does between us both and they were on a food plot. The other two guys are out this morning and neither has seen anything so far. We are hunting where the acorn crop is the heaviest we have seen. So far the word I would use to describe this season is sloooow.... probably should have put that in capital letters.

Did not get out with bow this morning, but sat in stand with rifle on pig patrol for a bit before work. Of course one of the shooter bucks comes in there oblivious. He chased tail until I got up to leave. Saw several smaller bucks, all had the same thing in mind.

Have really been dissatisfied with my stand positioning this year. Former productive stands have been ghost towns and some of my new locations are not exactly where they need to be. Going to chalk that up to poor scouting and bad luck. Have seen some big deer, but they are always out of range. Threw a couple of climbers in today and going to go set them up at lunch to see if I can get back in the game where I need to be.
