How long do you keep the tree?

My gal usually wants the tree to stay until after the new years is over. This year, 27th and get it out! Boxing up Christmas today. Called my Mom and she too is taking the tree down today. How long do you keep the tree, if you put one up at all? Just wondering.

Until New Years then it becomes winter shelter for song birds in the backyard. In the spring it becomes fire starting lesson material for the kids.

until the wife takes it down... looks like she's not ready yet. Think she does it New Years Day on her rare day off work. My job is just to get the stuff down, she and the kids always decorate, then I put the stuff back.

Didn't have one this year. (we went to see son, he's a Marine) In years past, me and the boys would see how soon it could get back to normal. One year we opened gifts around 6AM (before wife had to work). Tree, ornaments, lights, etc..all gone before 8AM on Christmas day. It was great.

when we use to put a tree up it came down by noon xmas day, but havent put on up in several years.

If your using them for brush shelters at the lake, don't overlook fake trees. They don't shed the little leaves, and your jigs won't hang up in them like evergreens that shed and leave little bare limbs.
