Here, but occasionally There.
Speaking of judging: Matthew 7: 1-2

Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.

In other words, ALL of us should be cautious of judging others.

Here's how this works- If the judge hears evidence of a lesser crime, he can offer that lesser crime for conviction during the deliberations stage. By all means, this homicide met the elements of First Degree Murder, but ultimately the question is what the jury will decide.

I actually spoke to the jury foreman this morning, it turns out he is an acquaintance of mine. He said had ANY other lesser charge been offered, they would have convicted her of it. He said based on that, they chose not to convict her since Murder 1 was the only option.

And yes, the guy was a dirtbag, he was high on meth, blah blah blah. And yes, she shot him in the back while he was getting away and there was no threat of death/GBH when she pulled the trigger blah blah blah....

What the heck, one more dirtbag off the street and we are not supporting for the next 50 years in jail.
I would call it a win for the good guys..

I don't know that she was one of the good guys but I do understand your sentiment. I have a hard time feeling sorry for Mr. BadGuy. He was the kind of person who makes it necessary for me to have to have a weapon to defend my property -- and most likely myself. She is just as bad because now I have to defend myself against dumbasses who think I shouldn't have a weapon that I am most capable of using to defend me and mine.

Judge our judgment all you want guys.

We ll know this would have played out very different had the dead guy been of a different race.
Yep, no way she's even charged if that's the case. Likewise if instead of a bail bondsman, she had been a cop. 2 weeks paid admin leave while it's being "investigated" before concluding it was a "Good shoot", then back on the streets to continue serving and protecting.

She's a photographer now, doing what she'd dreamed of doing since she was a kid. All she had to do was shoot a man dead. EZ.

nah, he's the guy that makes you need to lock your doors. She on the other hand is the reason you need to carry. He has no regard for how hard you work for your stuff. She, like some of you, has no regard for human life. She cuts you off in traffic and then just happens to pull into the same store parking lot you were going to. Seeing you pull into the parking lot, she feels threatened and doesnt hesitate to pull out her gun as she sees you park nearby and begin to walk in the direction of her car which is also the direction of the store you were innocently heading into. Better beat her to the draw.
