2018 Controlled Hunts

A buddy at works SIL drew a cow elk. It was only his third try

My dad and I were drawn for antlerless deer at Wichita Mountains NWR. This is our fifth time for deer since 1995. We were both drawn for elk in the past as well; he in 2007 and I was in 2009.

2 oldest Salt Plains 11/2-4
Youngest Arbuckle Springs 11/17

Have not hunted either place, any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

My son drew pushmataha wma youth. If anyone has any insight on this hunt please PM me, I am not familiar with it. I plan on bow hunting it before the hunt to get some good scouting in.

I didnt draw, my bro-in-law didn’t draw, my older daughter didn’t draw, but my youngest drew out her second year in a row, and this time for Salt Plains, Nov 2-4th.

My son drew the USDA Grazinglands youth hunt for the second year in a row.

Yeah not sure, I was just wondering if it was the Wilderness or the other areas.

You only draw the wilderness area if you apply for it.
Nada for me this season.
