So, in Trump's words, if Germany is going to do a billion dollar pipeline for 70% of their energy which can be cut off at any time, why defend Germany against the people they chose to do business with? ( a little factoid that Trump brought out, is that the past Chancellor of Germany is now the leader of the pipeline from Russia.) If anyone watched the entire video, you would have seen President Trump bring that out.
As stated earlier, by John6185, they are now at the mercy of Russia.

I read a report the other day that the tariffs that she put on US goods in retaliation for President Trump putting tariffs on cars or something, she relented and agreed to concessions. President Trump wins again.
Meanwhile UPchuck schumer says today that President Trump is an active agent of Putin and the KGB.
What does that tell you about the mental capacity of upchuck schumer?

The Chancellor of Germany as well as Brussels, France, etc needs to be reminded they would be speaking Russian today if not for the US.
Trump told Stoltenberg 23 countries are NOT meeting their financial responsibilities to NATO of the 2% GDP requirement for their own national defense while the US is doing almost 4% to defend countries doing billion dollar deals with Russia. This ain't working folks.
Germany is the worst offender among them.
We have allowed Germany to run trade surpluses for 67 years since the end of WWII. Is it not time for equal trade?

First we have to get our facts straight.
Germany won't be getting 70% of it's energy from Russia if the new Nord Stream pipeline is built.
It would be getting 60-70% of it's NG from Russia but only about 20% of Germany's energy comes from NG so, 70% of 20% of energy would come from Russian NG.

What happened was an aid told trump 70% of NG and Trump mangled it in the meeting.

Like the fact we have a president that tells it like it is? In many ways NATO is like the UN...we foot most of the bill and get nothing out of it. At one time NATO had a purpose..Now...not as much.

We don't "foot most of the bill" for NATO.
The US pays 22% of the NATO budget.
