Sooners Fans Are Pretty Quiet Today

Got an early start over to my grandma's place yesterday. It was our monthly date night, and she said I could look through my grandpa's tool shed for a crescent wrench. I listened to the game up through halftime, but didn't think anything of it since K-State is so bad. Ended up spending the entire afternoon and evening in the shed, out to dinner, then on the road home. Didn't even know the Sooners lost until this morning. I'm surprised how quiet Sooner fans are. Noticed my neighbor took the OU flag down that's been flying since August.

On the plus side, I read where OSU pulled off their game, which surprised me given the current coaching staff.

Defense sucked and they lost a game they shouldn't have.
OSU fans get quiet when their team loses too.
The other 2 guys in my office are die hard OSU, but after their 3 losses, the only talk on Monday was about the NFL.

I don't hate either Okie team.

What I dislike is a team that goes on the field thinking they have a bye, and are going to rollover those Brownie Scouts.

I do occasionally watch both the orange team and the red team.

If you had seen Riley's pregame media day you would have seen that he respected KSU and viewed them as a worthy opponent. KSU has always been a trap game and their stadium is pretty hard to play in. But you started your first post with "I love seeing an insufferably arrogant team..." I think you are confusing the team with some of its fan base. Even as an OU fan I know many who fly the crimson and cream banner are obnoxious about it, every successful team (and a few that are not) have members in that fan base.

Then to sit back and enjoy a lose of a team as if you personally won something speaks volumes again. Had you said you smiled because it shut up some of those aforementioned obnoxious fans, thats one thing. But to say your glad they lost just because they are OU, well thats quite another.
