Several years ago i was in Kansas pheasant hunting and had just left a field and saw a van run off the road.I went up to see what was going on and there were 4 men all very drunk with bottles of Jack daniels and pheasants piled up high.Their van was stuck and i told them i would go get my tractor to pull them out.I stopped at a cafe and called the game warden and told him where the drunk hunters were. When i got back to Oklahoma the GW had left me a message that he had taken their van, guns and fined them 2 or 3000 dollars each. This was around 1990 so that would have been a pretty good fine in those days.

There are thousands of public hunting acres in this state.
No need to trespass.
OH I just thought maybe they are not legal to own a firearm.

I did hear one Game ranger in SE Oklahoma tell a story.
Said he caught one guy killing a deer out of season.
Guy claimed he had no money for meat for his children and wife and that is why he killed the deer.

Ranger said lets go to your house right now.
Ranger looked in the guys fridge and freezer and it was bare.
Let the guy keep his deer and left him alone.

Said he did not care if he did it to feed his family.
But if you have meat and the money and are out killing illegally then he will toss the book at you.
