I like the ruger sr22, it is small, compact, accurate, they can be a little finnicky on ammo
My most favorite right now is the kel tec p17. Small, compact, accurate, light weight, and does not seem to care
what ammo you feed it. The p17 weighs less with 16 rounds in the mag, than the ruger without a mag. The p17
is cheap as well, usually under $250 when you can find them. I have a tan one, a black one, and hopefully an od green
one soon. Also the p17 is lifetime warranty, and if you should need to buy parts, they are easy and cheap.

I read the reviews on the Beretta Bobcat. It is light, cheap ammo and I can tell when there is a round in the chamber because it "flips up" at the touch or a lever. Te other semi-autos one has to pull back to see if one is in the chamber which is awkward for me due to arthritis.

What is your favorite and why?
I picked up a Walther PPK .22 LR because I just liked the cool factor and it was pretty inexpensive at the time. Like most PPK’s it requires good ammo to function reliably.

I have shot several of Joel's PPK's and they were amazingly accurate for as small as they were.

I have a Smith and Wesson M&P 22 Compact and a Glock 44.

Had bad problems with the S&W with fails to eject when I first bought it. Sent it back to S&W and they did some work on it and now if pretty much works flawlessly with any ammo I have put through it since I got it back except Federal Automatch which seems to be pretty much crap ammo.

My Glock 44 works flawlessly with every garbage ammo I have used except again the crap Federal Automatch. But Automatch is the cheapest ammo I can find at about 6 cents a round so I keep shooting it and just deal with having to rack it from 1 to 3 rounds per magazine.

I find them both to be very accurate mostly because I am an excellent shot. I'd love to see a gun that someone says isn't accurate....I'm guessing it's not the gun most likely.

I love these threads,,,
Counting the posts until every appropriate pistol has been named.

But in the spirit of participation:
Bersa Thunder .22 - Just a good solid performing 10 shot pistol.
Ruger SR-22 - Another good solid performing 10 shot pistol.

These are my favorites because of the type of action,,,
DA/SA with exposed hammer and de-cocker.

I'm not fond of striker fired or DA only pistols,,,
I want to be able to unload and de-cock without dry firing the gun.
