The last time I took a gun to Wananmachers it took an extra hour in line to get it checked in at the door. Your odds of selling/trading it are pretty good, but you probably either need to get there significantly before they open, or expect a pretty long line. Either way, it takes a little while.

Oh I am not going to be able to go. I am just dreaming. I will probably list it on FB in a day or two or take it to an OKC show if that does not work.

You might try listing it on Gun International. I’ve bought off that site but never sold, but a friend has done well selling on there. You’ll get a lot more exposure than trying to sell locally.

Last time I was there the parking lot had about as much action buying and selling as inside the show. Lol.

Guys cruising up and down the line first thing in the morning.
"Hey there, whatcha got ?"

Yep. Sold a 686 like that once, for a good price too.
I was leaving an OKC gunshow one time without buying anything and saw this lady just come in carrying a fancy case with a brand new AR-15 with all kinds of extras and and new Glock 21. It ended up costing me $2100 to get out the door.

I did something similar years ago when the OKC gun shows were pretty good and milsurp were plentiful and cheap. I was heading for the door when a guy came in carrying 4 military surplus that Bubba had chopped up trying to make hunting rifles out of them. Cost me $75 each to buy them, more to have the headspace checked, and then even more to make them right. Only a Type 44 carbine could be restored to factory, but A type 38 carbine that the Chinese had modified to 7.62 x 39, a Kar 98k that had been converted to 308, and one in 8mm all became nice rifles when I was done.

There was a walk-in at Wanenmacher probably 15 years ago who had an odd-looking Mosin Nagant rifle. He walked the entire lower floor and part of the upper before someone stopped him to look at the rifle. That fellow who asked to look at it was an expert on MN’s, and he recognized the rifle as a very rare variant. He bought it for a couple hundred bucks, and a few hours later, sold it for something like $4500. It was the talk of the Gunboards forum for a while!
