Shoot, if anyone wants me to test any I’m fine with it. Lol. But the mixture is super easy. I use Knox unflavored gelatin. You can shoot it, melt it down, strain it, and recast it. They last quite a while until they start going bad and need trashed. With two large 14.5 long blocks I have been able to capture every non FMJ/cast/plated projectile up to 375HH and 4570. If I had to do it over again, I’d get bigger Rubbermaid tubs to have longer blocks. A few of my Projos have been laying on the table just behind the block after exiting and bouncing into the backstop and bouncing back.

That is awesome @Moparman485
I had to wait until I bow shot a deer and cut it's head off at the shoulders and do penetration tests with the 55Gr. V-max.

I bet gel block would be easier to score.
I’ve done lots of 223 testing actually. Every single one aside from gold dots and Barnes have basically blown apart and the “core” if you could call it that, stop at about 9-12 inches. FMJs actually explode almost everytime, regardless of caliber. Hollow points (regardless of match made or hunting made) also tend to blow apart violently. Granted, they would still certainly take any game, but soft points, tipped bullets, and copper are the best for penetration depth and expansion size
