It is, or at least used to be, well worth the drive.

I wish I could go at least one more time but it is way too much walking for me and I'm not about to rent one of those scooters to get around on.

It's probably still the largest gun show on the planet. Definitely worth seeing (of course I only live 20 miles away). You'll see awesome collectible antique firearms you never knew existed, and if you're in the market for modern stuff, there's more than you can shake a stick at. You can find plenty of custom holsters, grips, etc., and even have custom ear protection molded to your ears while you wander around with a corndog.

Prices are nothing special on most guns, local stores are just as good. There's always several dealers from out of state; some of them have cool stuff, some of them think EVERYBODY lives in a gun-hostile state and try to charge accordingly. Ammo prices are historically in the "these don't exist anymore, and I've got the only ones left on the planet" range, even for WWB.

There will be calendar girls who will smile at you like you've actually got a shot (if you're into such things), at least on Saturday. By Sunday noon, they pretty much sneer at most everyone; can't say I blame them because....

Some people just need to be told soap isn't a four letter word. Just sayin'.

The occasional celebrity. Hickock45 is known to make an appearance, saw Butterbean not too long ago.

And scooters....my God, the scooters.
