My 10mm launches brass into low earth orbit. I usually spend more time looking for brass than shooting it, and still lose half of it. I've shelved the 10 until I can figure out a way to contain the spent brass.

By saying low earth orbit, I'm not stretching the truth by much. I've found brass almost 40 yards from the area in which I'm shooting. Even my giant noggin wouldn't support a hat that big.How about a very large hat

Guy at our range uses a butterfly net made of some rubber material that hot brass doesn’t effect on a stand that’s adjustable in heights depending on if he’s sitting or standing. Pretty large diameter so it traps everything.Maybe something "net-like" that is closer to where your firearm is when you are shooting?
