Hardly ever buy new, but when I do, and if there’s a Warranty offered, yes I will take advantage of that. Just like buying new vs used vehicles. IMO

If you have a receipt, I doubt it makes much if any difference. If you don't have one, it might but it seems that a lot of firearms manufacturers honor warranties even when they don't have to. In fact the firearms industry in general seems to have a better record of customer service than other industries in general.

Recently had a good experience with Taurus. I know, it’s a Taurus. But, I can vouch for their customer service. I got a gun in a trade that I think had been ran over. It was a air weight revolver and the alloy actually cracked. The gun was in pretty rough shape and they are going to replace it with the closest current model at no cost.
