Just wondering how many people actually register their firearm with the manufacturer? Does it matter when it comes to warranty work?

If you have a receipt, I doubt it makes much if any difference. If you don't have one, it might but it seems that a lot of firearms manufacturers honor warranties even when they don't have to. In fact the firearms industry in general seems to have a better record of customer service than other industries in general.
If I remember correctly, Oklahoma has a law that requires sellers to honor any warranty that is stated by them regardless if you sent in a form or online registration. If you can provide proof of purchase, they have to honor their warranty from the date of sale whatever it is.
Like post #3 says, you don't have to send in a card to have the warranty.

Recently had a good experience with Taurus. I know, it’s a Taurus. But, I can vouch for their customer service. I got a gun in a trade that I think had been ran over. It was a air weight revolver and the alloy actually cracked. The gun was in pretty rough shape and they are going to replace it with the closest current model at no cost.

That's pretty solid of Taurus to offer that.
