I can relate to this. My granddaughter saw one of these once and asked me " Grampa, were these phones when you were a kid?" I told her this is what we used instead of ear-phones.

It's been at least 50 years since I got to eat at an A&W Rootbeer stand. And I wasn't driving yet when that happened. A&W in cans is decent root beer, but I don't believe it can compare to A&W on tap served in frozen mugs...

Maybe not a "root beer stand," but there are A&W places around where one can get the frosty mug of root beer. If I remember right, I think there is one in Yukon that is an A&W and a Long John Silver's. It is on Garth Brooks Boulevard north of I-40.
I still have the axe handle that I used to keep our rooster off of me. But when that same rooster flogged a friend of my dad we had him for supper the next night.

According to the search info in my browser, there's one on the NW corner of N2 122nd street & Penn that I've been passing without noticing for the 7+ years I drove past that corner on my way to the Freddy's on my class at FTTC's Portland campus. Completed my class in May, so I'm going to have to make an excuse to go up there one of these days. Don't know if this is good or bad. Thanks!
