The threat was ended when he hit the floor.
The shooter administered a kill shot to the head when the robber was motionless. There was no threat at that time. That’s murder.

Houston is a liberal cesspool, and I predict there will be more manpower and tax dollars spent to find that shooter than to find someone who robbed a bank. If that guy is caught, he’s going to pen for the rest of his life.

Now on a personal note, if I was on the grand jury, he’d get a “no bill” vote from me. I subscribe to the “play stupid games and win stupid prizes” way of thinking, and that robber got what he had coming.
I do think the cootergraw to the head was a little over the top, but I’m sure the guy was amped up and probably not thinking clearly.

You're right I remember Jerome Ersland going to jail for such . That bandidto didn't care who was going to get hurt when he went in strapping to rob and possibly kill patrons , I have a hard time with the idea that armed citizen did the wrong thing.

Maybe jury nullification will save this poor chap.
