I don’t like limits when it comes to me and my loved ones.
Maybe, but let’s face it, criminals have no fear of the law or legal repercussions today. I’m all for putting fear into those that have criminal intent, and if that means a little street justice being delivered, I’m ok with it.
I think a lot about situations like this and how I would react, and I’ll be honest and say I’d probably hesitate to shoot out of fear of criminal prosecution. However, if someone points a gun at my wife or daughter, I’m shooting them no matter the consequences.
Whether he was attempting to or not, I don't believe that's gonna' matter when he walks up beside the perp and delivers the 'coup de grace'.
Don't know how it would play out if they can prove the shots before the head shot killed him and the head shot was just bonus.
All it takes is one member of the jury to vote not guilty . Whether or not that happens is another story, jury nullification is an important check and balance in the judicial system to prevent good folks from going to jail when the letter of the law says they should.
In every training class I’ve been in, it has been preached that the goal in this kind of situation is to stop the thread (not kill the criminal). What’s probably going to bite the guy in the butt is that the threat was stopped when he cootergrawed him.
I think it may have been a Hi-Point.
I wouldn't trust my life to one , I've seen too many Hi-Point fails on gun ranges to be ok with it. People buy what they can afford though .
