It sure felt like plain old plastic. Had kind of a matte finish but it was very light and felt like plastic to the touch.
Put it this way, those MoonSwatches were so well made that the darker colors were actually staining peoples skin from the dye in the plastic. Most notably from the blue models.
The response from Swatch:
Swatch has reassured customers that "The pigment is not hazardous to skin, non-toxic, so this effect is completely harmless for the wearer"
I'm not sure if they recalled the older ones back, but they had to change up the dye on future production watches.
