Interesting. After seeing yours I went and dug mine out. It needs a new crystal, but according to the serial number it’s a 1918 model. This latest info kind of illuminates the temperature and position detail. You can tell by the screw slots it probably needs a little attention.

This thread prompted me to go look around a bit. My watch is nice, but dang your momma sure knows how to pick out a watch doesn’t she!?! I thought it was interesting that it didn’t matter how good a watch was, if a conductor was going to use it it was American made and certified or nothing. Thanks for making me more educated.
