Does it? The draft leaked to the Immigration Accountability Project allegedly included the following:
1) Increase green cards by 50,000/year
2) Work permits for adult children of H-1B holders
3) Immediate work permits to every illegal alien released from custody
4) Taxpayer funded lawyers to certain UACs and mentally incompetent aliens
5) Expulsion authority for a limited number of days ONLY if encounters exceed 5k/day over a seven day period
6) Restricts parole for those who enter without authorization between ports of entry
If you're counting, that adds up to 1,825,000 illegal immigrants per year allowed in and given immediate work permits. Is that less than Biden is allowing in right now? Sure. Is it WAY more than came in under Trump or even Obama? Definitely.
Any way you cut it, this Lankford deal is a win for Biden and a loss for the country. That's why Biden is in full throated support of this deal!
Above is what the leaked draft alleges is in the deal. Lankford is saying it's not true, but has he actually said what it does supposedly say? No. Do you trust Lankford to tell the truth? I sure don't!
Giving Biden this tremendous win on the one policy everyone universally agrees is his biggest weakness, greatly increases the odds that Trump loses.
Same here, crickets. That's why I tried calling on my lunch hour today. I called all three of his offices, and no one answered the phones. Just canned messages to email him (didn't work) or leave a message. I'll try all three numbers again later, on the off chance someone actually answers.
Until I hear the actual details of this so-called "deal", I'll remain a skeptic.
Since Lankford said on the news today, a lot of the above claims (eg: 5K encounters/day) are false internet rumors.
I don’t trust Lankford (or any politician), but it prob would be prudent to see what’s in the bill before accepting it or rejecting it.

Well if he won't share the details with us, he'd better share them with McConnell, Johnson and maybe the OK Republican Party leadership. The longer he just issues weak denials, the worse it looks!

The question still stands…who would you support to replace him, because otherwise it will be him against the democrat candidate and a half-time republican is much better than a full-time democrat.

My wife and I both told Josh Brecheen that he should run for Langford's seat when he comes due next, and that we'd donate to his campaign if he did. Unfortunately, he can do a LOT of damage between now and January 23, 2029.
Update: Still no one answering the phone at any of Lankford's three offices. If anyone gets anyone on the phone or gets a response from him, let us know!
