can you use a .40 cal to deer hunt in OK. ? I've got a carbine in that cal.

A.J. appears to be correct in that the answer is no, but it's amusing, to say the least, that .40 is acceptable in a short barrel (pistol), but not a longer barrel (carbine).

Basically wht he's saying is "no". Maybe a 10 mm (I don't know how long the cartridge is), but the .40 is definitely too short.

Centerfire handguns: Chambered for .24 caliber or larger and 100 grain or heavier soft-nosed bullet having an overall cartridge case length of 1 1/4 inches or longer are legal (.357 or larger) and a minimum barrel length of four (4) inches.
That is for a non-semi auto.
