Mr. Costas addressed this the other night - he's got some sort of "minor infection" that should clear up by this weekend. As for the malfunctioning ring, my first thought was: "I wonder if the responsible persons are now breaking rocks in a Siberian camp?"
Bob is gonna be shopping for a glass eye when he gets home if he doesn't do something about that "minor" infection ... he looks like that thing HURTS ...

Man ... after seeing Bob last night I'm starting to wonder if he's playing Putin's luv interest off-camera, in the evenings ... 
Seriously ... for a "minor" infection that "should be gone by the weekend" (he said on Monday) the man looks like he needs to sign up for a seeing eye dog and get his affairs in order ... Those eyes are awful close to that beady little thing he calls a brain ...
I did a "stint" at as a daycare employee back in the day. Pinkeye is a really nasty mess to deal with but if you keep everything clean (and keep your hands AWAY FROM YOUR FACE!!) you shouldn't wind up looking like ol' Bob there ...
