Where are you going? If it's close to a major city like Denver, etc you can get cheaper deals like at an Academy or Sports Authority that is local there. I've had good luck with eBay also. Lots of good online sellers just depends when you are going on trip and if have time to order.
I am stationed at Hill AFB in Utah. My wife and i bought all of our ski gear at Colombia at the outlet mall. This is our second winter using it, and it's worked perfectly for rain, ski, snowboard, backpacking, backcountry ski/snowshoe, etc. We love it!
