cool video but a worthless comparison. I wish they would have used a heavy barrel on the DI gun since that's what failed on it. I suspect it would of smooth outworked the piston gun if it was apples to apples.

I am thinking along the same lines also.

Wow, they exceeded the max sustained rate of fire by magnitudes and system failed. I would have never guessed it.

The interesting thing is that it was the piston system that failed. Obviously something is going to fail when that rate of fire is held.

Like the others, I'd like to see a quality factory built heavy barrel DI upper run in the same situation to see if lasted longer. The DI gun they ran was a frankengun upper with a Faxon lightweight barrel. On it the barrel failed at 830rds. The piston system failed at 833rds.
