Bought me a new used truck for hauling cattle. It’s a 2003 Freightliner FL80. CAT 3126 300 HP engine. 8LL transmission. So in translation it’s kinda got 3 reverse speeds, 2 speeds in Lo and then 1-8. It was a Union Pacific high rail truck or whatever they call it. It had a huge service bed and crane and wheels for goin on rail road tracks. It’s got 280k miles and I’m surprised how good of shape the interior is in. I’ll probably pull the walking axle tandems out from under it and put.in a single axle air ride in the future. I’ll also shorten the frame to around 10-11 foot. I’m already gonna take about 3’ off in the next day or two.
