Give me your impressions when you get around to it. Always wanted one. I don't mind the weird vertical grip angle in theory, but I haven't ever handled one of these.
I'd like to add that I've beard from multiple people that the PPQ had the best stock trigger anyone has ever tried. I don't know anyone that hasn't added ghost trigger connectors to their stock Glock.
Again, if you like the p07, make sure it's a later model. I've heard reports of Duty models...
Post-duty model p07's are supposed to be really good. The XDM used to be the go-to comparison and recommendation against a Glock from like 2006-2010.
I don't think any polymer gun is any better than a G19, though.
Do the 380s have no true sights at all like the .32?
Seecamps were the first and best of their ilk when they came out. They're not terrible, and are still superbly manufactured, but I don't think I'd ever get one.
Thanks for the report!
One of the first handguns I shot was a Ruger sp101 loaded with .38 special.
I seriously couldn't believe how pleasant it was to shoot. If you're like me, though, revolvers take a ton of practice and discipline to fire accurately. Still, I wouldn't rule them out, which it kind of sounds like you...
Half my friends own .40, the other half own 9mm.
If anything, I think .45 acp is on the decline.
A round's popularity also has jack s**t to do with its effectiveness.
I personally think .357 sig and .40 s&w are lousy calibers that don't offer very much advantage for how much pressure...
I'm surprised this gun hasn't gained more attention or appreciation.
I'm having trouble finding any good reviews or impressions online, but it seems really really promising. And the price is right for around $375.
A delayed blowback in a carry piece seems like a "best of both worlds", and...
Update: tried putting some 90gr hornady "American gunner" through a friend's Cz 83.
Inaccurate as hell. And after 100 rounds of fmj (UMC and S&B), the hornady started malfunctioning. It would ftf every 2-3 rounds, and sometimes not even chamber on the first round. I had to literally push the...
I've yet to have a fte from limp-wristing anything larger than a beretta 21a
Blowback will be more "reliable" in terms of long-term, simply because the guns are typically overbuilt for .380 and won't wear out. Recoil springs are like $10, and are pretty much the only thing that'll ever wear out...
Doesn't .44 special still use the older slow-burning powders? In any case, the examples I see tend to produce way more smoke than their magnum counterparts.
Most of the ammo I see are also hard cast "cowboy" lead nose bullets designed for lever actions, too. There are modern defense loadings...
9mm
+flat shooting
+higher capacity
+adequate wounding potential
+cheap
+guns chambered in 9mm are cheaper/smaller than .45
-higher pressure round than .45, so more wear on pistol
-"snappier" perceived recoil, see above
-less permanent cavity, offers less muzzle energy than .45 at +P loads
-if...
I can't wait till they pull their typical Apple marketing strategy, and release a model 1 year later that fixes some obvious problem, and then act like it's just an "updated" model like they did the LC9s.
Both on a truck. 2wd for the regular driving, 4wd to save yo ass when you need it.
In a car, it's more a question of rear wheel or fwd. I like either, for different reasons. On the ice, I'll take my fwd 5-speed standard.
I've never been to a place that made you be "special". Either you pick the ammo up and take it to the register, or just pay for it right there at the gun counter. Academy had shelves lined with ammo, which surprised me a bit. I'd figure they would have strict loss prevention measures for...
Hmm, some of those don't sound incredibly practical. But I guess that's sort of their niche with the whole "warrior lifestyle" thing. That's why I was afraid of gimmicks.
This is encouraging, though.
I meant the knives were under $100. I wasn't sure about the kukris, only that I've heard and seen great things.
I've also heard good things about the Himalayan Imports. But those are pricey too, and their website seems kind of janky. I'm not a Xenophobe, but I've had some bad experiences with...
