FYI a new martial arts school is opening in Edmond. The head instructor holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu and at least initially the focus will be BJJ, with emphasis given both the self defense and sportive applications of the art. Morning, evening and weekend classes will be offered.
Classes will be held in the Oklahoma Wrestling Academy facility on the NE corner of 2nd and Santa Fe. They have ~1000sf of raised tatame and another few thousand square feet of wrestling mats.
They are hosting an open mat the evening of Friday June 28 with regular classes scheduled to start on Monday July 1 the following week.
