Coon Creek Campground is prone to flooding during high water events. The gate and gate keepers camping areas have been moved South a couple hundred yards to an area that has never flooded.
The old guard shack was typically seen with just the peak of the roof above water. Mold was a big issue for those working inside. Lowest spot in the entire campground.
The boat ramp that has silted in and unusable has been replaced with a new ramp in the open lake and not in the cove where it was originally placed.
The area is heavily wooded along the feeder creeks and lake frontage. I hope they find the person wandering around still in good health.
